Michael James Smith, 66 of Edmond, OK was born on August 11, 1946 in Great Bend, KS to Steve and Gwendolyn Smith. He passed away on January 25, 2013. Michael married Donna Saint on August 18, 1967 and they had two children, David and Matthew. He worked for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville as a contract editor and writer.

He is survived by his children, David Smith of Atlanta GA, and Matthew Smith of Midwest City, OK; grandson, Tyler Smith of Tomball, TX; and brother, Gary Saint of Idaho Springs, CO.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife Donna who passed away on January 8, 2012.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Edmond. Selected services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
