Michael Jack Lambeth
1958-2014
Michael Jack Lambeth was born on July 20, 1958 to Jack Elbert and Mary Gwendolyn (Gwen) in Oklahoma City, OK. Mike was the oldest of four siblings, including: David Alan, Ronald Gene, and Susan Marie. Mike grew up on the south side of the city where he attended and graduated U.S. Grant High School in 1976. Mike departed this earth to be with the Lord and his mother on Thursday April 10, 2014.
He spent his life pursuing his passions: God, family, sports, taxidermy, writing/ photography, hunting/ fishing, and the great outdoors. Mike was a very compassionate man with a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, stranger or not. His kind words and gentle spirit were a warm blanket of comfort for any troubled soul who had the good fortune to cross his path. He had a way with words that could soothe even the most wary troubled heart.
Mike was a very outgoing and friendly person who never met a single person he didn't call a friend. His life and testimony has touched so many people from all walks of life, all over the globe. He was never poor of jokes and laughter and was always the life of the party. May his life and legacy be a lighthouse to all of those who may find themselves stranded in troubled waters. May that light be a guide that leads us all to solace and the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Donna Marie, father Jack Elbert, step-mother Sue Carol, brothers David Alan & Ronald Gene, sister Susan Marie, sons Evan Jack and Ethan Michael, daughters Melissa Suzanne and Mallory Gwynne, nine nephews, seven nieces, eight grandchildren and countless more friends and family.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all of the kind words, prayer, and support. We would also be honored for you to come and join us as we celebrate the wonderful life and lay to rest our father, our leader, our friend. Services will be held Wednesday April 16 at 2pm at North Pointe Baptist Church located at 5300 NW 220
