1952 – 2023 Edmond, Oklahoma.

Mitchell Monroe Leonard was born in Dodge City, Kansas on December 31st, 1952, to Arthur W. Leonard and Eileen M. Leonard. Mitch was raised in Dodge City and graduated from both Dodge City High School and Saint Mary of the Plains college. He raised 5 beautiful children with his wife Virginia. He resided in Dodge City until his retirement from Burlington Northern Santa Fe. When his first grandchild was born, he moved to a small farm in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he raised two wild rescue mustangs and some chickens. Mitch enjoyed spending his time traveling with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and doing chores on his farm. He loved taking his grandchildren for tractor rides on his big blue tractor and playing in the dirt pile. Mitch enjoyed fishing, rafting, gardening, and drinking his morning coffee. His true passion was his daily chores, taking care of his property, and feeding his animals. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife, with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage recently.

He is survived by his siblings Randy Leonard, Gretchen Steffen, and proceeded in death by his Mother Eileen Tenbrink, Father Arthur Leonard, brother Artie Leonard, and Janie Leonard.
