Naomi Ruth Damron
1934-2020
Naomi Ruth Damron went home to heaven on May 6, 2020. Naomi Ruth was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on March 2, 1934 to Clarence Thomas (C.T.) "Froggie" and Vera Lee (West) Green. She married Harold Damron October 17,1950 and graduated from Duncan High School in 1951. She was a beloved sister, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Naomi was a gifted pianist, organist, accompanist, composer, choir director, Bible teacher, author, and most important to her, soul winner for Jesus Christ her Lord. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, brother (Billy Harold Green) and her husband of 62 years, Harold Edward Damron. She is survived by her daughters, Lindy and husband, Jim Rowton and Jean Ann and husband, David Riggs; her sons, Ed Damron and wife, Brenda, and Jay Damron; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Kay Lynn, Jordan, Josh, Phillip, Caleb, Mollie, Logan, Lindy Lou and Luke and 14 great-grandchildren.
Naomi loved hosting friends and family in her home with her delicious cooking and was able to do that until recently. She volunteered as church pianist/organist starting as a very young girl until 2018. She also dearly loved volunteering for Oklahoma Jail and Prison Ministries at Oklahoma County Jail and sharing her faith and passion for Jesus Christ. She supported faithfully for years the Mission of Hope and Hearts of Hope annual fundraisers for City Rescue Mission of Oklahoma City, as well as numerous other ministries. At age 80 she published her Bible study, Empowered to Win, The Inflowing, Outflowing, Overflowing Life of God Within You, her dream God allowed to be fulfilled.
She moved in August of 2019 to Touchmark at Coffee Creek.
A graveside service on May 8 is limited to immediate family. A future celebration of her life is being planned.
