Nell Rose Leonard
1949 – 2022
Nell Rose (Tipton) Leonard AKA "Granny", 72 passed away peacefully in OKC on February 9, 2022.
Rose was born on September 14, 1949 in Ada, OK to the late Marland Tipton and Naomi Nell Estes. After graduating high school from Putnam City High, she started her family and had three children. Nell worked at and retired from Homeland as a bakery manager. She enjoyed life fishing, listening to music and playing with her dog Patton.
Rose is survived by her three children, Stacy Freeman, Stephanie Berryhill and Scott Johnson; brother Bill Tipton and sister-in-law Lois; and sister-in-law Suzi Guy also known as "Sis."
She had four grandchildren Sierra Reppert, Micah Freeman, Zachery Garrison, and Taylor Lindley; three great-grandchildren Jaelynn Freeman, Sutton Reppert, and Atoli Lindley. She has many dear cousins, nephews, and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clay Tipton and Bobby Tipton.
Memorial Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, February 17th at Matthews Funeral Home.
