Nellie Ann Gerlach
1940 – 2017
Nellie Ann Gerlach, 76 of Tulsa, beloved, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2017. She was born in Edmond, Oklahoma on September 23, 1940, the fourth child to Wilford C. Weiss and Sadie (Stone) Weiss. She graduated from Edmond Public Schools in 1958 and continued with classes in shorthand and clerical skills at Central State University while working at Long-Bell.
She married Frank Leon Gerlach on November 25, 1959. From this marriage they had two children Eric and Dee.
Nellie was a member at Edmond Church of Christ.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, brothers Bobby and Billy, and her son Eric Gerlach.
She is survived by her brother Newton Weiss, sister Wanda Boren, daughter Dee Gerlach, and grandchild Serenity.
Services will be 10:00am Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
