Norma J. Bloodworth
1933-2023
Norma "Jeanie" Bloodworth was born on December 14, 1933 in Edmond Oklahoma and peacefully passed away on December 26, 2023 surrounded by her family. Norma will live on in the many hearts she touched until we are all reunited again.
Norma follows her late husband Jimmy H. Bloodworth, parents Emery and Elizabeth McDaniel, sisters Joann Nowell and Carlita Phillips, and brother Ford (Pete) McDaniel, to be with the Lord and in their loving presence.
Norma leaves behind her children, Vickie Frerker and grandson Cameron Frerker; Ricky Bloodworth, wife Jill Bloodworth and grandsons Jackson Fife and Griffin Fife. She also leaves behind her siblings Sue Osbon and Harvey (Buster) McDaniel, and numerous nephews and nieces. All dear and loved.
She met the love of her life, Jimmy, in 1952 when he came to a basic training base in Edmond. They were later married that same year on September 8th, enjoying over 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2007. This was the start of a 22 year journey for both through three countries and four states serving our country in the United States Air Force. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling and being with their beloved family.
Norma was dedicated to her family, church, and friends. Her dedication to all three was unwavering throughout her life. Norma was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene, who along the side of Jimmy, served the churches they attended in numerous capacities. We will remember Norma for her loving heart, warm smile, and kindness to others.
There will be a viewing on Friday December 29 th , 2023 from 1pm-8pm at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Matthews Funeral Home Edmond, OK
