Norma Jean Lockwood
Norma Lockwood, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, left her earthly family to join her heavenly family on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the age of 88. Norma was born on August 3, 1931 in Drumright Oklahoma, to Anna May and William Weese. On November 23, 1950 she married Farron Lockwood. They lived in Drumright until 1954 when they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, where they raised three daughters, Wana, Lisa and Terri. For many years, she served lovingly side by side with her husband as a Deacon's wife, and later as an Elder's wife. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and her husband of 59 years. She is survived by her three daughters and three son-in-laws, Wana and Don Self, Lisa and Larry Roberts and Terri and Rick Spence, seven grandchildren, Jacob Roberts, Dawn Self, Sarah and Joe Clayton, Wade and Misty Spence, Daniel and Roxy Self, Clinton Spence, and Audrey and Nick Hallmark, twelve great grandchildren, Corban Self, Daxton Self, Camden Self, Brylind Self, Sophia Self, Heather and Caleb Shimp, Breanna Spence, MacKenzie Leitch, Peyton Leitch, Addisyn Hallmark, Avery Hallmark, Abby Hallmark, and one great great granddaughter, Ellie Shimp. Norma loved listening to music, reading trilogy books and watching classic movies. But our beloved mother was best known for her devotion to her family, her church, her friends and her charitable donations to various organizations.
Private Family Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2020 with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
