Norman Clyde Miller

Norman C. Miller, 92, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of family, friends, and caregivers.

Born on April 10, 1934, in LeFlore, Oklahoma, Norman was the son of Clyde A. Miller and Jewel P. Jaggers. He graduated from LeFlore Senior High School in 1953 and married the love of his life, Carol Williams, on August 28, 1954. Together they shared 71 years of marriage.

Norman was known for his strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and dedication to his family. During his career he held many jobs, including serving 23 years with the Oklahoma City Fire Department. Skilled with his hands, he built his own homes, worked in landscaping, and never hesitated to help family, friends, or neighbors in need.

A man of deep Christian faith, Norman served as a licensed minister, deacon, and Sunday School teacher for many years. He faithfully shared the love of Jesus Christ with others and desired that all would come to know Him.

Norman loved fishing, family camping trips, and the fish fries that brought loved ones together. He leaves behind countless memories of laughter, friendship, and fellowship.

Norman is survived by his spouse, Carol Miller; children, Scott and Guy Miller (spouse: Martha); three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; Andrew (spouse: Renee) and their three children, Marshall, Nolan, and Ford; Brandt (spouse: Vanessa) and their three children, Zoey, Reid, Miles; Whitney Fort (spouse: Josh) and their three children, Margot, Paul and Merrick; sisters Eva S. Smith and Martha L. Oliver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. Miller and Jewel P. Jaggers, brothers Troy P. Miller, Thomas W. Miller, and Carthel J. Miller.

A service celebrating Norman's life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Edmond, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to EARC, Serving Adults with Developmental Disabilities, in honor of the family's longtime connection to the organization.
