Oren Marshall Little, 91, of Norman, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2020. He was born January 26, 1929 in Heavener, Oklahoma, the 7th child of Ivy and Lucy (Livingston) Little.  He began his early education in Arkansas moving back to Heavener with his family in 1936.

Oren completed his education and following a period of employment with the Kansas City Southern Railroad, on January 31, 1947 he enlisted in the US Army. After his discharge in 1948, Oren enlisted in the Air Force where he served in Georgia, South Carolina, Illinois, and Alaska within the United States. He was also assigned to the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam, Germany, England, and Thailand during his military career.

While stationed in Japan, Oren met Ryuko (Mickey) Kawaguchi.  They married October 8, 1964. He was awarded a Korean Service Medal, a United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal during his career. His final assignment was Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas where he retired in February 1975.

Following his military retirement, Oren and Ryuko resided in Austin Texas where he served in the Austin Regional Office of the Internal Revenue Service. He retired from the IRS in April 1991. Following retirement, he was a volunteer driver for veterans at the Austin Veteran's Administration Medical Clinic.

Although Oren and Ryuko had no children, Oren was well-loved by his siblings and their families including, Delora Little (Akin), Eula Mae Little, Herman Little, Charles Little, Eleanor Jane Little (Kaufman), Lucian Little, Neal Little, Robert Little, John Little, Wendell Little, and Iva Lou Little (Scrivner).

At the time of his death, Oren resided at the Arbor House Assisted Living Center in Norman, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Ryuko, his parents Ivy and Lucy Little, seven brothers and three sisters.

Oren is survived by his sister, Iva Lou Scrivner of Arlington, Texas and many nieces and nephews who enjoyed him at Little family reunions over the years.

Due to unforseen circumstances the planned Memorial Services have been postponed.  This page will be updated when more information becomes available.
