Pamela Kay Goetz
1960-2024
Our loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, Pamela Kay Sharpe Goetz age 64 went home to Heaven to be with Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born March 7, 1960, in Dallas, Texas to Dwight and Brenda Sharpe. Pamela grew up in Texarkana, Texas, where she graduated from Texas High School in 1978. She continued her education at Oklahoma Christian College where she graduated in December 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics.
Pamela soon started her career at William E Davis and Sons in Oklahoma City. She was stationed as a salesman in Northwest Arkansas. In 1985, there is where she met her Husband, Allen Wayne Goetz, who worked for the same company. The company transferred them both to the DFW area, and shortly after they were married on October 20, 1986.
Pamela became a mother of two daughters, Megan Elizabeth Cook and Hannah Marie Goetz. Her new career became her most cherished role in life as a stay-at-home mom. She was an inspiration to those around her, being involved in the community and her church. Her passion in life was genealogy where she spent many hours of research over the years. She had an unwavering faith in God and Jesus Christ. Her faith sustained her. She was full of grace, selflessness, and loved others deeply. Though breathing became increasingly difficult over the last decade of her life, every breath she took was designed to provide comfort and aid to those who knew her. She was an angel with a smile that could light up the room, with a heart of gold.
Pamela was proceeded in death by her mother, Brenda Walton Sharpe.
Pamela is survived by her husband Allen Wayne Goetz, her daughters Megan Elizabeth Cook, Hannah Marie Goetz, her father Dwight Sharpe, brothers Alan Sharpe, Chris Sharpe, grandchildren Steven Allen Cook, Caroline Cook; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Services will be held at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma October 11,2024 at 11 a.m., following a viewing for friends and family at 10 a.m. Lunch will be provided at First Baptist Church of Arcadia, OK following graveside committal service at Arcadia Cemetery.
