Pamela Jo Meunier, was born on February 9, 1963 in Wayne, Nebraska to Dale and Shirle (Minor) Franzen. She grew up in Wayne, NE until the 6th grade then moved to Holdrege, NE. Pam graduated from Holdrege Highschool in 1981 then attended Kearney State College for 1 year before moving to Weatherford, Oklahoma where she met her life partner Thomas Meunier. While in Weatherford, Pam worked as a Sales Associate at Weatherford’s Kelley Jewelers.
In 1983, Pamela and Thomas married and raised their two children Daniel Meunier and Allison Meunier. In 1986 Pamela and family moved to Oklahoma City where she worked in commercial lending in the banking profession. In 1991, Pamela followed Thomas’s career to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where she continued her banking career. In 2000, her family returned to Oklahoma settling in Edmond and rejoined her banking profession. During her time at Bancfirst, she met the wonderful people of MAP Energy, which changed her life forever. In February of 2004, Pamela transitioned to MAP and joined a team of coworkers that grew into her beloved family members. Pamela helped manage the Palo Alto based company’s mineral assets.
Pam loved her gardens and flowers, spending time with family, going through countless numbers of recipes, including her special pumpkin roll, dips and no bake cookies. She loved planning for special occasions and family get-togethers. Pam had a special love for animal rescue organizations and helped support a few of them with special attention to the Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue. She was obsessed with her gardens and designing seasonal flower beds with her son, shopping with her daughter, and holiday decorating.
Those left to cherish her memory include her father Dale Franzen, of Holdrege, NE; her sisters Sharon (Franzen) Lindsey from Huntley, NE and Tami (Franzen) Garner from Grand Island, NE; her husband Tom Meunier; her son Daniel Meunier and daughter Allison Meunier. In addition, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gary and Ginny Meunier, Jim and Pat Ross. Paul and Becky Meunier, and Monty and Shelly Stallings. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Pam also leaves behind her beloved MAP family which she adored.
Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Shirle (Minor) Franzen; brother-in-law, Dan Garner; brother-in-law, Doyle Lindsey and Sister-in-Law Marilyn (Meunier) Moore.
