Pamela Sue Sherrick
November 15, 1960 – April 8, 2023
Pamela Sue (Burnett) Sherrick (62) of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 15, 1960, in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lowell and Shirley Esther (Crozier) Burnett.
Although born in Enid, Pam grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, graduating from Edmond Memorial High School. As a teenager she worked at the soda fountain/grill at Barrett's Drug Store which was located on Littler and Second Street in Edmond.
One day, Pam was at a local foosball place in Edmond where she was making a phone call on the pay phone when a young man walked up to her and asked her, "When are we going to get married?" Pam's reply was, "When are you going to ask me out?" Three and a half years later, Pam married this young man on December 29, 1978, and became Mrs. Dean Sherrick. Below is a poem Dean wrote for her on their 44 th wedding anniversary and he mentions this story in his poem.

Forever And A Day
To my Loving Wife of 44 years, on this our special day.
How God has blessed our every move, all along life's way.
I knew the moment we first met, I knew without a doubt.
I asked when will we marry, you replied when will you ask me out?
God brought us together on this day and this I'm truly sure.
With His Mercy and His Grace, our Love will ever endure.
You are the answer to my prayers, our family safe and sound.
Thank You Lord for Everything, true love I surely found.
Our life together is such a blessing, and this I want to say.
God knows how much I Love You, "Forever And A Day"!
This poem is dedicated to the Love of My Life…my Wife, Pam Sherrick.
From her Loving Husband, Dino
Author: Dean Sherrick
Pam and Dean raised two daughters, Candice and Deana, and Pam dedicated her life to being the best mom she could be.
Pam's grandchildren [Alexandra Gigi Ciolac (18), George Anthony Ciolac (15), Nathan Michael Ciolac (10), and Lilliana Esmae Ciolac (2 ½)] were the love of her life and she enjoyed so much spending time with them. She also loved all her family and friends and cherished their relationship and time spent together.
Some of Pam's talents and hobbies were working on things around her home and making it a place of comfort and joy for all who entered. She also was great at doing ancestry research and prepared a book for the Sherrick family tree that was done in detail that not even her husband was aware of. She has been active in preparing her own ancestry. She always daydreamed about becoming a travel agent and used her interest and skills to plan many perfect "Pam Sherrick" vacations.
Pam was a woman of great faith in God who continuously lifted her family before the Lord in prayer. She also cherished the relationship with her church family who were all so loving, caring, and there when needed. She will be missed dearly. Her family and friends take much comfort in knowing that she is in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her loved ones who preceded her.
Pam was preceded in death by her dad Lowell M. Burnett as well as several beloved aunts and uncles.
Surviving Pam are her husband: Dean Sherrick; daughters: Candice Ciolac (Alex) and Deana Sherrick; grandchildren: Alexandra, George, Nathan, and Lilliana; her mother: Shirley Burnett; sister: Debbie Burnett; brother: Lowell Burnett Jr.; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She is in our hearts always.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, 24601 N Western Ave, Edmond, OK 73025. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
