Patsy was born on December 11, 1950, in Wynnewood, OK to Kermit and Edith York. Patsy lived a full and vibrant life. She grew up in Paoli, OK and graduated from Paoli High School in 1969 where she played basketball, was awarded Athletic Queen, and met the love of her life, Lee Carder in the fifth grade where she promptly displayed her dominance by beating him in arm wrestling. Patsy and Lee were married on April 3, 1970, in Paoli, OK and had 4 children.

Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who took great pride in caring for her family. She loved cooking, spending time with Lee, her children, and grandchildren, laughing to the point of tears, and playing Farkle of which she was crowned as Farkle Queen upon her mother's passing. She was always there to offer support, encouragement, prayer, and warm hugs no matter what challenges they faced.

Patsy was a woman of great faith, a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, gentle nature, contagious laugh, and unwavering love.

Patsy went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2025, after battling Parkinson's Disease. While her family is saddened by her loss, they are comforted in knowing she is rejoicing in the arms of Jesus.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Lee, 3 children, Luke Carder & his wife Jaima of Edmond, OK, Eddie Carder & his wife Crystal of Edmond, OK, and Brent Carder & his wife Suzi of Thornton, CO, Angel Bonilla of Edmond, OK, son-in-law Pete Valenzuela, 9 grandchildren, Tiana, Kaylyn, Nic, Evan, Ryan, Jackie, Audrey, Carson, and Ethan, 5 great-grandchildren, Camila, Piper, Robin, Jovie, and Emerie. She is preceded in death by her mother Edith York, father Kermit York, and loving daughter Malissa Valenzuela. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday February 14, 2025, from 1pm to 8pm at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond. A funeral service will be held on February 15, 2025, at 10am at Revive Church, 400 W. Danforth Road, Edmond, OK. Patsy will be laid to rest at Gracelawn Cemetery, 1407 N. Boulevard in Edmond, OK.
