Patsy J. Payne

Aug 28, 1940 – Mar 24, 2015

Patsy "Pat" J. (Davenport) Payne, 74, was born in Drumright, OK, to Norton and Alma (Culbertson) Davenport. She was beloved by all who knew her. She took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Doss Witt of Drumright, OK, in 1958, later divorced in 1988. Patsy's young adult and mid-life revolved around her young family; being a homemaker and raising two girls. Her husband's work took her from coast to coast and border to border. She worked at Remington Park in various capacities since its opening day, 9/1/1988; from driving a courtesy coach, purchasing, Chaplaincy Officer, to assisting the Director of Facilities during the past 10 years. She was also a member of the AQHA. She also met her beloved husband of 25 years, John, while working at Remington Park. Her lovely and bright smile blessed everyone she met.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Rhonda Roberts and husband Jim, and Shelley Starns; brother Tommy Davenport and wife Jeanne; grandchildren, Haley Estes and husband Chad, McKenzie Starns, Cooper Cross and Walker Cross; and great-grandchildren, Carson Starns and Jacqueline Estes.

She will be dearly missed by her family, many friends, church family, and RP family.

Visitation will be Friday March 27th 9-8:00pm at Matthews Funeral Home.

Services will be Saturday, March 28th 10:00am at Matthews Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Frisco, TX.
