Paula Sue Meyers

Paula Sue Meyers, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Edmond on October 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born June 27, 1948, in Oklahoma City to Harold and Pauline Caldwell.

Paula lived a life full of love, laughter, and creativity. Paula participated in cheerleading and graduated from Del City High School in 1966. She was known for her generous heart and her many hobbies that brought joy to those around her. Paula had a passion for cooking, taking care of her flower beds, and her favorite, interior design. Paula had a vision to remodel her house and Danny worked numerous hours to make that dream come true. Paula loved cooking holiday meals and countless pies. Her table was always set with her beautiful decor and finest dishes. There was never a paper plate in sight. Paula baked the most delicious Italian cream cake that she would make for her daughter Shelly’s birthday every year. Paula was kind, soft-spoken, and always dressed nicely for any occasion. More than anything, Paula cherished time with her loving husband, Danny, and her family. Paula adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paula was an OU fan, born and bred and loved gathering with family on Saturdays to cheer on her beloved Sooners.

Paula is survived by her husband, Danny of 36 and a half years; daughter Shelly and husband, Brian Ross; her son, Donnie and wife, Cassie Brooks; grandchildren Raeanna Nold, Ryan Ross, Reagan Ross and their spouses; her sister, Donna and husband Alan Schmidt, sister-in-law, Judy Caldwell, nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Pauline Caldwell, and her brother, Alan Caldwell.

Though Paula may be in heaven, her love and legacy live on in our hearts.

A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly Ave., Edmond, Oklahoma, on Saturday, October 25, at 4:00 p.m.
