Philip Hess, 42, and his daughter Alexandria Hess, 2, died April 17, 2016, in Edmond.

Philip attended high school at Owasso High School, graduating in 1990.  Following high school, Philip joined the Army as an Infantryman and was discharged in 1993.

Philip was an avid computer gamer but his true joy was spending time with his beloved wife and daughter.

Alex was a very active child.  Her favorite activities were baking cookies and cornbread with her mother, going to the playground to play on the slides, and taking rides in her wagon with her stuffed animals.  Her favorite characters were Dora, Barbie, and Tinkerbell.  She also attended Church Day Care every Sunday; her favorite Bible stories were Bible Beginners on YouTube and she loved having Bible stories read to her.  She also loved other children's stories and would always pick the book for her mother to read.  Alex was also learning to speak a dialect of the Philippine national language called Visayan.

Philip and Alexandria are survived by Rosalie (wife/mother), Steven Hess (father/grandfather), Dolores Barbour (mother/grandmother), Sharon Hess (step-mother/step-grandmother), Adam Olansen (brother/uncle), David Olansen (brother/uncle), Lisa Olansen (sister/aunt), Retired Colonel Roseller Bagundol Sr (father-in-law/grandfather), Grace Bagundol (mother-in-law/grandmother), Rosello Bagundol (brother-in-law/uncle), Roseller Bagundol Jr (brother-in-law/uncle), Rosalyn Bagundol (sister-in-law/aunt), Ruby Ricafrente (sister-in-law/aunt), Chase Kyle Bagundol (nephew/cousin), friends, and finally Buddy and Andyee (dogs).
