Ralph Arambula

December 5, 1930 – April 26, 2015

Ralph Arambula, 84, after many years of battling kidney disease and blindness, completed a most magnificent race on April 26th and has gone to claim his victory in heaven with his Lord, Our Lady, and all of the angels and Saints.

Ralph was born in Oklahoma City to Rosa and Natividad Arambula. He attended Little Flower and St. Joseph's Catholic Schools where he was taught lessons and his Catholic faith which he never forgot by the Nuns he so respected and loved. Ralph joined the U.S.A.F. where he served bravely during the Korean War. He then attended OCU and it was then that he saw the love of his life, Betty Thornton. They were married soon after at Little Flower Church. After college Ralph worked for Tinker A.F.B. on surveillance crafts until his retirement.

Ralph loved his two Chihuahuas "Angel and Baby," playing the guitar, dancing with his granddaughters and long debates with his grandchildren. He also spent many years teaching religious education to Hispanic children at St. Eugene church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 of his brothers and sisters. He leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his beloved wife of 64 years Betty; his children Debbie Hignite and husband Tracy; Kathy Arambula; Mark Arambula; and his special gifts to God his grandchildren Ryan Berend; Jennifer Loney and husband D.J.; Chris Berend and wife Penny; Phillip Hignite; Elizabeth Berend; Marlee Arambula (his special angel); Macie Arambula; and brother Alfonso Arambula.

God, and Ralph's strength, allowed him to live to welcome his first great-grandchild, Ava Rose Loney. His family rejoices in the splendor that he will see with his eyes fully opened and a body fully healed.

A Rosary will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday May 1st at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 2 nd at 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church. Memorials may be made in his name to Christ the King Church.
