Randy Lee DeRousse
1950-2021
Randy L. DeRousse, 70, of Edmond passed on to GLORY on August 1, 2021, at Mercy Hospital where he volunteered for 17 years.
Born in Crystal City, Missouri in 1950 to the union of Leo DeRousse and Bonnie (nee Vinyard) DeRousse.
He moved to Oklahoma to work in the oilfields with his uncle Paul DeRousse in 1974. He was posted to Algeria for the 1976-77 season. When he returned to Oklahoma he met Tamara Albright, the love of his life. They were married on June 7, 1980. To this union was born a daughter, Holly Jeannine in 1983.
Randy went to work at Acme Brick in 1982 where he stayed until his stroke in 2004.
He is survived by his wife Tamara, daughter Holly (Charles IV) Robinson and 2 grandsons Charles V and Chandler Robinson. His sister Kathy Owens (Michael) of Decatur IL, his uncle Paul DeRousse of Midwest City, and a host of cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mercy 3 rd floor including Lauren and Lizzie for their excellent care.
Viewing will be held Thursday, August 5 th at Matthews Funeral Home from 6-8 pm with family present.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6 th at Matthews Funeral Home with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
