Revonia "Jolene" Milner, 76, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Edmond, OK. She was born December 4, 1942 in Hanna, OK to Olen Cowan and Virginia Ginn (Hope). Jolene attended Newcastle High School and graduated in 1960. She was employed with the University of Central Oklahoma as a Payroll Administrator for 22 years before retiring in 2004. Jolene was passionate, honest, and a caring woman that was loved by many. She made friends everywhere she went; she never met a stranger. She loved to travel and was always up for a road trip; sometimes traveling spontaneously to different states with no particular destination in mind. She loved OU Sooner football. You always knew there was a game on because you could hear her yelling from across the street. She was a devoted Elvis Presley fan. Her eyes lit up watching his movies, concerts and listening to his music. She enjoyed old westerns, her favorite was John Wayne. She loved to dance and was a member of the Teacup Chains Square Dance Club in Edmond, OK. She raised four children, three daughters and one son, from her first marriage to Ronald Tucker. Jolene married Bill Milner on November 13, 2004. Family was everything to Jolene. She was a very proud Ninny to her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her mother Virginia Hope, her father Olen Cowan and her step-father Wilson Hope. She is survived by her four children, daughter Ronda (Craig) States of Shawnee, OK; son Robert (Lisa) Tucker of Guthrie, OK; daughter Regina Hobbs of Edmond, OK; daughter Robyn (Max) Rinehart of Newcastle, OK; her niece Amy (Jaaremy) Nicewander of Norman, OK, brother Jim (Shirley) Hope of Choctaw, OK; brother John (Diane) Hope of Noble, OK, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, December 17, that will be open to the public from 12pm to 8pm, with a formal visitation from 6pm to 8pm. Services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK. Graveside services will follow at 2pm, Denver Cemetery in Norman, OK.
