Rick Milner
1947-2013
Richard Olin Milner "Rick" age 66 of Edmond, OK passed away on August 31, 2013. Rick was born in Effingham, Illinois on August 3, 1947. Rick served in the Army from August 1966 to January 1969 at which time he was honorably discharged due to the death of his loving father. He ran the family business at that time as a milk distributor for Prairie Farms from 1969-1979. In 1979 he moved to Oklahoma and went to work for Shawver Electric where he worked from 1979 to present.
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Parents, Francis Olin Milner and Phyllis Milner; Sister, Marilyn Staples; Niece Nancy Staples; Uncle, Earl Dulaney and Step-brother, Don Milner.
He is survived by his wife Terri Milner, of Edmond, OK; son, Grant Milner and wife ShyAnn of Edmond, OK.; Daughter, Stacie Dekanich and husband Billy of Edmond, OK., Step-daughter Heather Wilson of Moore, OK. Granchildren, Mason & Jacob Milner, Grayson Dekanich, Dylan and Zachary Wilson and Mikayla Vontress. Brother-in-law, Jim Whitener; Step-sisters, Becky Curry & husband Grant and Elaine Milner Silver and Aunt, Jane Dulaney of Michigan. Many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Very many close friends and co-workers too numerous to mention.
Rick was the best husband, father, grandfather, uncle and cousin and friend to so many. He will be missed so much. We love you with all our hearts. You are now at peace and no more suffering. God received an angel.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK. Interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
