Richard Randolph Williams was born on August 5, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK. to Perry Franklin and Ann B (Jennings) Williams. He passed away on September 30, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK.

He died in the loving arms of his wife Gay and is resting at the feet of Jesus after his courageous 8 year fight against cancer.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Perry, mother Ann, daughter Caitlin, son Christopher and previous wife Donna Sue.

He is survived by his wife Gay Murphy Williams, Oklahoma City, OK; his daughter Rachael Williams, Plano, TX; step daughter Norla Lamonte and husband Brad, Peninsula, OH; step-son Travis Hildebrand and wife Megan, Georgetown, TX; grandchildren Kristin and Ashley Williams, Weatherford, OK; Anthony Williams, Alex, OK; and Jordan Williams, Plano, TX; Step grandchildren Claire and Leah Hildebrand, Georgetown, TX; brother Charles Williams and wife Martha, Lake Texoma, TX; Aunt Jo Jennings, Lawton, OK; brother–n-law Lomax Murphy Jr. and wife Marilyn, Ninety Six, SC.; Sister-n-law Annette Murphy and husband Dan Martin, Oklahoma City, OK; Brother-n-law Michael Murphy and wife Karrol, Kansas City, MO; sister-n-law Kay Hanks and husband Rick, Oklahoma City, OK.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Richard attended Lawton public schools and graduated in 1969 from Lawton High School.

Richard was the owner of Comfort Incorporated, an HVAC company in Oklahoma City. He was a patriotic citizen, civic leader and a proud lifetime member of American Business Clubs serving as an officer and member with The Lawton Ambucs.

He was previously employed for PSO in Lawton and in the HVAC industry with Jones Newby supply in Lawton, OK; Natkin Services, Oklahoma City; and Carrier Sales and Distribution Oklahoma. While living in Lawton Richard served as a Lawton City Councilman.

Richard enjoyed life and lived it just as he parted this earth…his way. He was ever the optimist, ever the emotional rock for his family and friends.

He graduated from Southern Nazarene University. He was a teaching assistant with the Lawton Dale Carnegie Organization., a Master Gardener through the OSU extension program, and continued his educational opportunities in the HVAC industry.

His services will be on Friday October 6, 2017 at 2pm at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK with interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Ok.
