Robert "Todd" Wise

June 18, 1960 – Dec. 31, 2017

Robert "Todd" Wise, born June 18, 1960, the son of Robert Wise & Barbara Wise Doyle died on Dec. 31, 2017, in an automobile accident   in Chinle, AZ. He attended schools in El Toro, CA and graduated from Putnam City High School.

Todd was   a collegiate wrestler and   graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a BA degree in psychology and went on to attend    seminary at Western in Holland, MI, where he received his M.Div. He also later received his Ph.D. in religion from Temple University and another Ph.D. in psychology as well from Union.

He was a Fulbright Scholar and taught at universities in Jordan, Lebanon, and Ethiopia. He also recently served as a Clinical Director in psychology at hospitals in Chinle, AZ and South Dakota as well. Todd was a Jungian Psychologist and was keenly interested in the human soul. He was a proud member of the Creek Nation and loved Native American culture.

He loved to travel throughout the globe and lived in the Middle East and in Ethiopia. He loved music, the arts, film, politics and history. He was an explorer of both the geography of the world and human psyche. He was also an avid OU football fan and loved his Sooners.

Todd is survived by his two brothers, Tate and Tony Wise; and his sister, Traci Wise Miller; along with his parents, Robert Wise and Barbara Wise Doyle. He is also survived by his wife, Abrehet T. Wise; son, Samuel Wise; his ex-wife, Nancy Wise Vanderlee, and their three children, Rachael Breck, Brooke Wise, and Lindy Wise; and his ex-wife, Khawla Wise, and five children, Saladin Wise, Hashem Wise, Al-Qaider Wise, Sophia Wise, and Hajar Wise.

Todd was a force of nature and lived an amazing life. He will be missed.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 15000 N. May Ave., OKC, OK 73134.
