Robert Paul Johnson was born on October 2, 1954, and departed this life on May 7, 2025.

Born to J.L. & Dora "Cricket" Johnson, Sr., Robert grew up in Wynnewood, OK. After graduating from high school in 1972, Robert went to Oklahoma Christian College, graduating in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies & Languages. He later earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Reformation History from the University of Oklahoma in 1991.

While at OCC, Robert met Karen Janeway, and in 1975, they were married. Together, they would minister to churches in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas for the next 45 years, until Karen passed away in 2020. Robert continued to serve as an evangelist until shortly before his death.

Robert loved the Word and dedicated his life to studying it and serving the Kingdom. He touched many lives preaching the Good News, writing articles, teaching classes, and speaking at lectureships.

Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen and his parents, J.L. & Dora "Cricket" Johnson, Sr. Those left to honor his memory are daughter Andrea Rieger and husband Randon, son Phillip Johnson and wife Yazmin, and grandchildren Emily, Cadon, Jaxon, and Rylon Rieger. He is also survived by his brother, J.L. Johnson, Jr. and wife Linda, and sister, Nancy Kymes and husband Charles, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many, many friends.

A Memorial Service for Robert Paul Johnson will be held June 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The service will be livestreamed through Robert's Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to In Search of the Lord's Way in Robert's name.
