Robert Gregory Kirby, better known as Greg, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was survived by his wife, Cheryl Kirby; his two precious girls, Megan and Abby; his parents Bob and Jo Ann Kirby; his sister Terri Douglas, her husband Kirk; and his sister Lisa Stewart, her husband David and their son, Scotty.

Greg was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on November 28, 1967. He was raised in Edmond and attended Deer Creek Schools.  He was active in his church and the Royal Rangers.  He played football in high school and was also active in speech and debate.  He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1986 and then attended the University of Oklahoma, as well as, the University of Central Oklahoma where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1992.  He attended law school at Oklahoma City University and graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 1996.

Greg and Cheryl were married on August 23, 1997, in Oklahoma City. They chose to make their home in Edmond for 22 years where they raised their girls.  Greg was of the Methodist faith and attended church regularly.

Greg practiced law at Travelers' Insurance as their Chief General Counselor.

He was happiest with Cheryl and the girls, supporting them in their passions. He enjoyed being a volleyball dad and traveling with their friends.  He was a great father, husband, brother, son and friend. Greg lived a happy life surrounded by an incredible family.  He was very loved and will be missed.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 9 th at 10:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
