Robert "Bob" Michael Peregrin
July 3, 1957 – January 10, 2020
Robert "Bob" Michael Peregrin, 62, entered eternal peace with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 10, 2020. Bob was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on July 3, 1957, to the late Robert and Patricia Peregrin, the oldest of four children. Bob met the love of his life, Donna (DJ) Davis, and they married on July 18, 1986. They spent the next 33 years together until Bob's untimely passing. Of the marriage, 2 children were born, Jacob and Sam.
Bob graduated high school from Bishop McGuiness High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and later graduated from Central State University in 1979. He earned his Juris Doctorate in 1982 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Bob began his legal career with an Oklahoma City law firm in 1982 and subsequently was a founding member and shareholder of Daugherty, Fowler, Peregrin, Haught & Jensen, P.C. Bob's legal practice was focused on assisting clients on Federal Aviation Administration and International Registry matters involving the sale, registration, leasing and financing of private, corporate and commercial aircraft. Bob's expertise in aviation matters earned him recognition by the International Who's Who of Aviation Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in American for equipment finance law. Bob frequently spoke at seminars and professional conferences on topics relevant to FAA and International Registry matters. Bob also served on many committees and boards, including the International Registry Advisory Board and the Legal Advisory Panel for the International Registry.
Bob's professional memberships included the American Bar Association, the ABA's Business Law Section and Forum Committee on Air and Space Law, the National Business Aviation Association, the National Aircraft Finance Association, and the Association of Aircraft Title Lawyers. Bob was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
Bob was a fourth degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed martial arts, Jiu-Jitsu, competitive shooting sports and riding his Indian Vintage Chief motorcycle.
Although Bob had many professional legal accomplishments and honors for his service in the legal aviation industry, his biggest source of pride and joy was his family. For Bob, family was first and foremost and nothing brought Bob greater joy and comfort than being with and spending time with his family. Bob was an avid baseball fan and he spent countless hours coaching not only his sons in the skill of the game, but many other young men as well. In addition to his devotion to family, Bob's relentless commitment to generosity of time, talent and treasures left a lasting impression on many individuals, churches and organizations, both professionally and personally. Bob was also committed to the gift of both professional and personal mentoring, acts of kindness, and his selfless giving enthusiasm for life. He leaves his loving memories, storytelling, gracious and good-natured teasing, good humor, and nickname giving, to be cherished by all who knew him, including family, friends, and co-workers. Bob is survived by his wife, Donna, his son, Jacob and his wife Amy, his son, Sam and his wife Brooke and his loyal Belgian Malinois dog, Belle; his brother, Mark and wife Shannon; sister's Lynn and husband Gregg and Susan and husband Rick, along with many nephews, nieces, and other extended family and many lifetime friends. The family will greet family and friends for a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 18 th at 3:00 pm at Frontline Church, located at 1104 N Robinson Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73103. The family express their heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation for the personal care and commitment from the entire medical team at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center on Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City.
