March 23, 1942 – November 4, 2013

On Monday November 4 ^th , 2013, God unexpectedly called into his loving arms his faithful follower William Robert Pansze, known to those close to him as Bob Pansze. Bob has left behind his loving Wife of 15 years, Barbara, 3 children: Reed and Ryan Pansze and Lisa Crafton, 2 brothers Bernt and John Pansze, 2 step-daughters Jennifer Cook and Melissa Brewer, and 4 granddaughters all of the Metro area, as well as numerous cousins, many respectful friends and colleagues, and his beloved and devoted dogs.

Bob was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Bill Pansze and Edith Owsley who passed away when Bob was 3 years old from complications of childbirth. His Father later remarried to Bernice Rogstad who continued to raise Bob as her own son as well as his two half brothers. Bob graduated in 1960 from NW Classen High School in Oklahoma City where during his senior year he and his teammates won the State Championship in football. Then he attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman where he competed in their wrestling program and where he received a Bachelors and Masters Degree.

He was an avid OU fan and all of his life was quite proud of his OU and family legacy. Both his Father Bill Pansze, and his Uncle Art Pansze were both captains of the OU football team in the 1930s. Up until his passing, Bob was always in the field of Education in continuous capacities including teaching, principal and upper administration.

At the time of his death, he was teaching Special Education students at Roosevelt Middle School in the OKC Public School System. His ability to connect with special needs students was truly a natural gift and was a blessing for all of the students fortunate to have known him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Oklahoma Foundation or the Animal Humane Society of OKC or Edmond.

Services will be 2pm Friday, November 8, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel.
