Ronald Bruce Donaldson
1940-2017
Ronald Bruce Donaldson of Edmond OK, passed away at his home on December 20, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born to Woodrow and Elsie Donaldson on July 2, 1940 in Oklahoma City. Ron lived most of his adult life in Southern California where he met his wife Marlene.
They and their son Dan lived a happy life in Anaheim, CA. Ron was a devout Christian, and he gave much of his time to the church where he served in outreach, teaching, and as a soloist in the choir. Ron retired as a Principal Engineering Aide for the City of Anaheim. He was known for attention to detail and for the quality of his work. He brought the same skills to his hobbies. Ron was a talented artist, creating many paintings and carvings that still adorn his house today. He also loved working on cars, particularly mustangs. He and Marlene spent many years as members of the Oklahoma Mustang Club. After retirement, he and Marlene moved back to Oklahoma where they met a whole new group of life-long friends.
Ron is survived by his wife, Marlene, his son, Dan, and his daughter-in-law, Lauren, his brothers Royce, Bob and Paul Donaldson. We know that the rest of Ron's family, as well as the many people who called him a friend will love and miss him forever.
