Rory Lynn Chambers
1960 – 2022
Rory Lynn Chambers passed away on May 26, 2022. Rory was born on September 28, 1960 in Springfield, IL to Robert L.Chambers (Bob) and Ellen L. Chambers. Shortly after he was born the family moved to California, where they lived until 1977. After which they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma. Where the Family still remains.
Rory married Cleeta G. (Turbyfill) Chambers in 1981, they were later divorced in 1989. During that time they had three children Wes, Karen, and Katie Chambers.
Rory enjoyed working with his hands. His passion for work was vast by nature. He loved creating unique works of art and design in tile projects throughout many homes in the OKC area. He could fix most anything, whether it be carpentry, plumbing, mechanical ect. Drive past Home depot in Midwest City and look at the brick wall along 15th street for a glimpse at some of his handy work. He found great satisfaction in taking on yard work of all types and sizes, especially when it came to keeping his mama happy.
Rory is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Chambers (Bob) and Ellen L. Chambers. He is survived by his children, Wes Chambers and wife Holly, Karen (Chambers) Bellamy and husband Eric, and Katie Chambers; his grandchildren Ava, Wyatt, and Ryder Bellamy. His brothers, Bobby and wife Dora, Rodney, Rick and wife Brenda, and Randy; along with five nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, at Matthews Funeral Home beginning at 3:00PM and lasting until 8:00PM.
Services will be held Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2:00PM. Interment is to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
