Roy Glen Martin
1933-2018
Roy Glen Martin, age 84 passed away in Edmond, OK on April 30, 2018 following a brief illness.
Born Sept. 3, 1933, in Terral, OK he lived for most of his life in Duncan, OK and for the past 18 years in Edmond, OK. Roy Glen honorably served our country during the Korean Conflict and attained the rank of Army Staff Sergeant.
Roy Glen was a longtime manager at Stockman's Supply in Duncan, OK. In retirement he enjoyed garage sales, gardening, and all kinds of sports especially his hometown Thunder. He was a long-time member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan, OK and was a member of the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond, OK.
Roy Glen was preceded in death by his wife Geneva "Susie" Martin. Survivors include his daughters, Brenda O'Dell of Edmond, OK and Kathy Elliott of Edmond, OK and his son-in-law, Robert Elliott. Roy Glen is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren Bauer and her husband Lars of Edmond, OK, Emily Elliott of New York, NY, Evan Elliott and his wife Carly Elliott of Nashville, TN, Ulyses Norman, Edmond, OK, Ryan O'Dell, Edmond, OK and Elizabeth Elliott of Edmond, OK. Roy Glen also has two special great grandchildren, Lilly and Owen.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Duncan, OK. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK. Memorials in lieu of flowers are welcomed by the family and should be mailed to Lilyfield, a Christian Adoption and Foster Care agency, 501 E. 15th, Suite 400A, Edmond, OK 73013.
