Ruby was a quintessential pastor's wife.  Ruby met the love of her life, Gene,  in church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This union produced her three children, Mary,  John and Martha.  Family was vital to Ruby and she and her husband made every  effort to nurture the family relationships and make every day fun.  Ruby was an  accomplished pianist and used her talents in the music ministry at the churches  where Gene was pastor. She spent much of that time at Henderson Hills Baptist Church and First Baptist Church – Edmond.  She was well known for her hymns and  the passion she expressed when playing.  She also assisted in playing the organ at Baggerly Funeral Home when asked.

Ruby was an artist in every way and became  adept in each medium she attempted.  She was well known for her oil paintings,  china paintings and porcelain dolls.  She loved to travel with her husband in the Airstream trailer, making friends wherever she went.  Their travels led to  many places and touched many people with their ministry.  When home, they spent  time with their kids and grandkids.  Their home was known for good home cooking,  nature appreciation and best of all, fun!  After the passing of her husband  Gene, Ruby spent her days at Touchmark sharing her sweet spirit with the other  residents.
