Russell Keith Charter

December 28, 1959 – November 24, 2025

Russell Keith Charter joined his Heavenly Father on November 24, 2025. He is survived by his daughter, Andalyn; his brothers and sisters-in-law Ted and Barbara Charter, Rick Charter, and Tim and Cheryl Charter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn and Fred Charter, and his brothers Steve and Fred “Skeeter” Charter.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, and raised in Oklahoma City, Russ lived a life full of simple joys. He loved spending time with family, watching football and movies, bowling, and savoring a good home-cooked meal. His career path was as varied as his interests—over the years he worked on a oil & gas seismic team, a cook at Red Lobster, a bookkeeper in the family business, at a call center for Williams-Sonoma and at a grocery store.

Russ was known for his kind heart and his gift for listening. He was one of those rare souls who found contentment in every season of life and appreciated the blessings around him. His quiet strength and gentle spirit will be cherished always by those who loved him.

Russ will be laid to rest at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at 1:00pm, under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
