Sharlene Lori Cantrell
1963 – 2025
Sharlene Lori Cantrell, 61, was born May 27, 1963, to Aleen and Samuel Kretzschmar Sr, in Denton, Texas. She was a native of Lewisville. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Sharlene knew it was more blessed to give than to receive and her generosity knew no bounds. Her radiant smile and love of a good pun lit up a room and brought joy to those who surrounded her. She enjoyed traveling and leisurely exploring new places. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her Pomeranian Corey and cats Riley, Shelby, and Missy.
Her love of the Lord shone through, and she always had a song in her heart. Sharlene's favorite bible verse was Psalm 27:14, "Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord."
She is survived by her siblings Samuel Kretzschmar, Jr and wife Nancy of Melbourne, FL, Sheryl Knight of Edmond, OK, Susan Johnson and husband Barry of Lewisville, TX, five nieces, two nephews, and eleven grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Sharlene was a wonderful and vivacious sister and loved to spoil her nieces and nephews. She was very talented at counted cross stitch. She worked at Kone as an executive administrative assistant for 17 years. A graduate of Lewisville High School, she was a proud member of the LHS "Band Who Marches With Pride," and National Honor Society member. After graduation she attended North Texas State University.
Sharlene attended Spring Creek Assembly of God Church. Sharlene was impacted by Alzheimer's. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to further Alzheimer's research or the charity of your choice.
