Shelli Vawn (Dixon) Reid

April 13, 1962 — May 17, 2026

Oklahoma City

Shelli Dixon Reid, age 64, passed away on May 17, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was born on April 13, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Shelli was a true warrior—courageous and strong in her battle with cancer—and she was ready to join her loved ones in Heaven.

Shelli lived a wonderful life and felt truly blessed and grateful for her loving family and friends. In her younger years, she was a passionate and accomplished horse rider, winning many national championships—an achievement that reflected her determination, talent, and love for riding that stayed with her throughout her life.

She was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a loyal and dear friend to many. Shelli was incredibly proud of the men her two sons have grown into and often said she could not have asked for a better husband for almost 39 years. Frequently she shared that she loved him more with each passing day.

Shelli found joy in spending time outside, taking walks with her husband Mitch, and making treasured family memories during fun‑filled excursions to Mexico with the Dowell family. One of her favorite funny sayings came from one of these excursions. “NOT GONNA DO IT!!!”

Shelli dedicated 45 years of her life to her family business, Oklahoma City Abstract & Title Co., where she formed many lifelong friendships and considered her coworkers extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Joe M. Dixon; her sister, Denise “DeeDee” Dixon Rund; and other beloved family members.

Shelli is survived by her mother, Connie Dixon; her devoted husband, Mitch Reid; her son Anthony Reid; her grandchildren Gavin, Kennedi, and Alex; her son Cooper Reid and wife Amanda Reid; her baby granddaughter Olivia; her sister Amber Dixon; and her nieces and nephews.

Shelli was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. All who knew her were truly blessed to have had her in their lives.
