Sherry "Jill" Best
1954-2017
Sherry Jill Best, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on January 31 ,2017. Jill was born on September 20,1954, in Oklahoma City. She married the love of her life, David Best, on August 17, 1973. Jill spent her life devoted to Jesus, her husband and family, and many friends.
She was well-known for her sweet disposition and kindness towards all animals. Jill had a long career in banking where she loved meeting and serving her customers. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed singing and sharing her musical gifts. Jill will most be remembered for her devotion to her family. Married for 43 years to David, together they raised a daughter and son and enjoyed many good times of traveling together.
Jill is survived by her husband David, her two children: Angie DeMunbrunand her husband Hadley and their two children Jared and Hunter; son Andy Best and his wife Lauren and their children Peyton and Pierce as well as her devoted dachshunds Abby and Buddy. She is also survived by her brother Jack Taylor and his wife Joy; her sister Julie Bigham and her husband Craig and her brother Jon Taylor and his wife Karen. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Rosalee Taylor.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, February 2,2017, at Matthews Funeral Home. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 4,2017, at l:00 pm, at Mathews Funeral Home Chapel, ln lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Free To Live Animal Sanctuary, P-O- Box 5884, Edmond, Oklahoma, 73083.
