Sharron Russell Coffman, age 82, of Edmond, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 9, 2025. She passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.
Sharron was born in Hope, AR where she was the Valedictorian of her class. She met her husband Truman Coffman at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR with their first date over a piece of cherry pie. They married May 28th, 1964. Sharron was a Math major and the smartest person her family knew. She regularly helped her kids and grandchildren with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus with only a five minute review of the previous lessons.
Sharron was known for a gentle spirit, a strong heart, and a servant’s soul. She lived a life marked by selflessness, kindness, loyalty, and unwavering love. Above all else, she cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in her 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, each of whom she prayed for, encouraged, and adored.
Her days were filled with simple joys and meaningful service. She loved walking, reading, volunteering, and spending time with friends. Friday nights were often reserved for card games with the ladies in her Bible class—an activity she treasured for both the laughter and the fellowship. She enjoyed singing at Teal Ridge, solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles, going to the movies, and watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price Is Right. In every activity, she carried a joyful heart and a spirit of gratitude.
Sharron lived out her faith daily, reflecting Christ through her compassion, her generosity, and her encouragement to others. She had a gift for making people feel loved, seen, and valued. Her strength, devotion, and quiet acts of service were a testimony to her deep and abiding faith.
She is survived by her three children: Terri Sinclair (Darrin) of Great Bend, Kansas; John Coffman (Stacy) of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Cindy Mahle of Edmond, Oklahoma; her 13 beloved grandchildren, Chase Sinclair, Olathe, KS, Kylie (Alex) Birney, Great Bend, KS, Kenzie (Tyler) Schissel, Great Bend, KS, Kiersten (Austin) McHenry, Great Bend, KS, Kimberlyn (Christian) Rivas, Great Bend, KS, Vivian (Blake) LaPaglia, Magnolia, TX, Courtney (Joseph) Lewis, Lake Dallas, TX Jill (Conner Luke) Bilyeu, Magnolia, TX, Andrew Horn, Edmond, OK Ashley (Dylan) Keys, Yukon, OK Kaden Mahle, Oklahoma City, OK, Noah Mahle, Edmond, OK & Taylor Mahle, Edmond, OK. 24 cherished great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Garry Russell of Houston, Texas; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
