Sue Ann Sterling

1933-2013

Sue Ann (Fulkerson) Sterling was born in Drumright, OK on March 4, 1933, to Albert and Lennie Bell Fulkerson as the youngest of 13 children.

She graduated from Drumright HS in 1951 and then attended St. John's Hospital School in Tulsa where she graduated in 1955.  In June of that year, she married Fred Sterling. Due to Fred's service in the Navy, they moved to Hawaii where she worked as a nurse.  She continued nursing when they moved to the Philippines and when Fred retired to OKC. Sue was in charge of the ER at Deaconess Hospital and also worked at Presbyterian Hospital.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband Fred who passed away in 1975.

She is survived by two brothers- David Fulkerson of Brandon, FL and Daniel Fulkerson of Stillwater, OK- and one sister- Mary Cruzan formally of Guymon, OK and currently of OKC, OK.

Sue passed away Jan. 15, 2013. Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel at 601 S. Kelly Ave. in Edmond, OK.
