Suzanne McAlister

Suzanne Briscoe McAlister, 53, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma following the service.
Suzanne was born Monday, November 18, 1963 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Jimmy L. and Jane Mitchell Briscoe. Suzanne was raised in Wynnewood, where she attended Wynnewood High School. In 1994 Suzanne married Rick McAlister in Sulphur and lived happily with their blended family in Edmond. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She faced adversity with firm resolve and a smile, and she will always be remembered for how deeply she cared for her family, her laugh and her sense of humor.
Survivors include her husband, Rick, of the home; four children: Jeremy Burns, Holly Bruno and Garrett McAlister, all of Edmond and Jeffrey Burns; a sister: Cynthia McDaniel of Decatur, Texas; two grandsons: Braydon and Bennett Bruno of Edmond; and close cousins: Ron Jones and Kyle Jones of Marlow, Oklahoma and Kevin Jones of New York City.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and Donna Kay Briscoe, her second mother and grandmother to her children. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
