Taylor Wade Jackson

Taylor Wade Jackson, cherished by all for his kind heart and gentle soul, passed away on August 28, 2026. He was 38 years old.

Taylor was born on November 13, 1987 in Oklahoma City to parents Guy Jackson and Mary Jackson. He graduated with honors from Putnam City North High School, Class of 2006, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with honors from Oklahoma Christian University in 2010. After graduation, Taylor began his career as a financial professional.

Throughout his life, education and research were important to Taylor, but even more so were his family and friends. He was known to share deeply researched financial tips with those closest to him about savings and investment opportunities. He wanted to ensure that everyone he loved could benefit from something he had learned. And to those closest to him, he also gave the gift of listening without judgement, with neither animosity nor ill-will, but with patience and compassion and infinite kindness. Taylor showed up—no matter where, no matter when—for those who needed a strong shoulder to lean on.

Taylor was keenly observant and ruled by curiosity. He liked to ask the question “why?” He was known to ask insightful follow-up questions that drew people out of their shells. In his presence, friends and strangers alike felt safe. Taylor took immense joy in sharing in the ups and downs of the people he cared for the most. Taylor’s light shined bright; Taylor was beautiful.

He loved dogs, and they loved him back, as if they knew he was always good for a head scratch or game of tug. Taylor loved going on adventures and trying new things: traveling, skydiving, hiking, off-roading, quiet walks, playing sports, and, more recently, pickleball. He thoroughly enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams—the Oklahoma Sooners, OKC Thunder, and St. Louis Cardinals—and attended many of their games in person. And though he liked trying different restaurants, Rudy’s BBQ was his hands-down favorite.

Taylor was baptized on December 20, 1998. Lately, he had been attending Crossings Community Church, where he took comfort in the shared sense of community connection.

Taylor is survived by his parents Guy Jackson and Mary Jackson, sisters Misty Jackson-Miller and Abbey Cartwright, brothers-in-law Quendell and Corby, nieces Daphne and Izzy, and countless friends, neighbors, and extended family members who are heartbroken at his passing.

Taylor was loved, and Taylor is loved, as he walks in righteousness with Christ in the heavenly kingdom.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for Taylor for close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to LifeCare Ministries at Crossings Community Church, in memory of Taylor Jackson.
