Thomas Patrick Hallren, born May 24, 1935, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Pat was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He will be remembered for his steady presence, quiet strength, and the love he had for those closest to him. His life was marked by dedication to family and the values he held dear, including a deep faith in God. He also loved to quietly help others, providing anonymous donations and scholarships to those in need.
Pat was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Business School, earning a degree in Accounting, Business Law, and Marketing in 1957, and was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi.
He proudly served his country as a Ranger in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant in 1959. Following his military service, he returned to Fairview, Oklahoma, where he joined the family business, Hallren Poultry and Creamery, serving as Vice President with responsibility for sales, transportation, accounting, and finance.
In 1970, he founded Burgess Manufacturing Co., Inc., a pallet and crating manufacturing company in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and built the company into a successful business until his retirement in 2002.
Pat believed strongly in service and giving back to the communities where he lived. While residing in Edmond, Oklahoma, he served on numerous boards and committees, including National Wooden Pallet Association, Oklahoma State Chamber, Small Business Association, State of Oklahoma Workmen’s Compensation Advisory Committee, and TEEM, an Education and Employment Ministry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ernestine; his daughters, Cherie Myers and husband, Randy, and Kim Boeckman and husband, Mike; and his son, Clark Hallren. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather and Charles Howell, Matthew and Beth Boeckman, Heath and Jill Myers, Daniel and Aundie Boeckman, Haley and Jared Mitchel, and Jay and Heather Boeckman; and his great-grandchildren, Ansley and Chase Howell; Graham, Cooper, and Sutton Myers; Noel and Yadi Boeckman; Reagan, Bailee, Taylor, and Reese Boeckman; Crew and Collins Mitchel; and Oaklyn Boeckman.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, Oklahoma.
