Tina Marie Epperson

September 29, 1975 — September 26, 2025

Oklahoma City

Born Tina Marie Springman on September 29, 1975 in Ardmore, Oklahoma - this girl excelled at life from a young age, consistently making good grades and involving herself in academic pursuits. This trajectory led her to graduate Dickson High School with honors in June 1994. She then went on to win the Southwestern Bell Foundation scholarship that same year and wasted no time using that award toward pursuing a degree in marketing and business administration at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. Ever ambitious, Tina worked full time in a trusted role in the cash office at Walmart in Ardmore, Oklahoma, while attending college. She then leveraged her education to successfully land a managerial title with the Walmart Corporation and moved to Nashua, New Hampshire in 1995 to fulfill that role in her own store - a position she held successfully for several years before returning to Oklahoma.

Tina liked a good joke, a good book, a good movie and a great conversation. She was compassionate and giving and often thought of others before herself. She assisted several people to achieve life-changing assistance from government and other entities. She loved family and family times, and cared deeply for animals - especially those of the feline persuasion. She leaves behind two male short-haired American cats, Leonard and Mittie, whose lives she saved when she gave them a loving, safe home, and who are now lost and grieving without her.

Left with a cavernous hole in their hearts are Tina’s beloved parents, John and Eva Taylor of Edmond, Oklahoma. Her younger brother LeWayne Taylor of Cashion, Oklahoma and his wife Andrea Taylor will miss her quick, irreverent wit and sense of humor. Allyson Rogers and Sheena Taylor, both of Stillwater, Oklahoma, grieve the loss of their big sister. Tina’s nieces, Kaitin Taylor and Nevaeh Taylor of Edmond, Loraly Crissup, Audrey Williams and Eryn Williams of Stillwater, and nephews Easton Taylor of Cashion and Colin Rogers of Stillwater regret the loss of their beloved, sometimes wise but always funny, auntie. Cousins Tim Alley and Robert Swinea pay their respects from Lynnwood Washington and Helena, Montana, respectively. Tina’s own aunts, Maryellen Looney (‘La Tante’) of Tulsa, Oklahoma will miss her sweet face and mischievous mind, while aunt Elizabeth (“Libby”) Swinea, will miss the many late night talks and mourns her niece from Helena, Montana. Her dear friend Beverly McElroy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is also left behind with a broken heart.

Meeting Tina in heaven, along with her King, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will be her paternal grandparents, Ben Taylor d. 1989 and Ethel Taylor, d. 1993, as well as her maternal grandparents Floyd J. Johnson d. 1972 and Theresa (“Tessie”) A. Chitwood, d. 2009. Her uncle Raymond Johnson, d. 2010 will be there, as will her young second cousin, Meara Rose Alley d. 2018. And holding the welcome packet with a bright smile and a shy wave, will be her recently deceased cousin, Alley Lawless d. 2024.

Though Tina’s reward will be great as her good deeds were many, we will miss her. She touched many lives and will be held fast in love by her family and friends who will never forget her or how special she truly was.

Tina, your humor, kindness and gentle touch on life will live on in our hearts, minds and spirits, and though you are far from sight, to memory you are ever dear.

Until we meet again, we love you.
