Tonya Penny Cron
1941-2023
Tonya Penelope Cron, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She was 82 years old. She was a wonderful mother, Nana, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend who was always there when anyone needed her.
Penny was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on March 27, 1941 to Harry and Arleen Billen. She married Robert Cron on July 6, 1959. They had a beautiful life together, traveling and spending time with family until Bob's passing on June 8, 2012.
Penny continued to enjoy life watching Texas A&M and Oklahoma State football. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities. Penny loved her family and shared stories about them to whoever would listen. She loved her lunch outings with her Yayas, a group of wonderful friends she has known most of her life. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, smile, and sense of humor. Her heart was overflowing with care and a giving spirit. Heaven has lent us such a beautiful angel, and the hole in our hearts will never be filled.
Penny is survived by her big brother Max and wife Dottie, son Mike Cron and wife Stephanie, daughter Shari Bond and husband Barry, daughter Kristi Steele and husband Steve, daughter Cathi Brock and husband Greg, and daughter-in-love Kathie Cron. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brad Griffin and wife Rachel, Kayla Priegel and husband Paul, Cade Mason, Tonya Crank and husband Jason, Adam Steele, Brady Steele and wife Chantal, Jared Brock, Caleb Brock, and Hayden Brock. Her great grandchildren are Addyson, Ryan, Hazen, Hazel, Mattis, Taleigh, Makara, and Jameson. She loved being an aunt to her niece Rebecca Harris, her sons Jacob and Caleb Mild, and nephew Kevin Billen. She is also survived by her fur baby, Hannah, whom she loved to spoil and was the light of her life.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Arleen Billen, her big brother Buddy Billen, sister-in-law Betty Cron, nephew Tim Billen, and husband, Robert Cron.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 3rd, 2023, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.
