Troy Norval O'Hair
February 15, 1932 – November 6, 2020
Troy Norval O'Hair, the son of Pat and Alice (Hoch) O'Hair, was born on February 15, 1932, in Speermoore, Oklahoma. He passed away at the age of 88, in the Touchmark Senior Living Center, Edmond, Oklahoma, on November 6, 2020. He graduated from Laverne High School in 1949. On August 22, 1953, he and Patsy Seeger were united in marriage. To this union, their only child, Terri Dale, was born on February 14, 1955. Troy attended NWOSU, lettering all 4 years in football, basketball, and baseball. He was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, graduating with a degree in Mathematics in 1954. He later received his Masters in Administration from Oklahoma State University. He was drafted in 1955 into the Army and served honorably for 2 years. Troy worked for Old Surety Life Insurance of Alva for 14 years. He then spent 20 years in the Alva school system at the Junior High, teaching math, coaching various sports, and serving as the Principal. After retirement he enjoyed, and excelled, at hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling. Troy was known by all for his beautiful, well maintained, lawn and landscaping. He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughter Terri Ritterhouse, of Edmond; his granddaughter, Lauren Lee Casariego and husband David, and their children, Oliver and Evelyn, of Boston; several nephews, cousins, and many longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Patsy; his brother Claude O'Hair, and sister Betty Breon. Also sisters-in-law, Mary O'Hair and Peggy Mackey, and brother-in-law, Norval Breon. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date due to the current COVID-19 situation.
