On Friday, March 13, 2026, Vicki Donna (Clement) Henderson earned her wings and went to heaven surrounded in love by her daughters Amber and Alicia and her grandson Jacob. She is finally free of her oxygen “leash” that everyone, including her, tripped over and can enjoy anything she desires to eat.
Vicki was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on October 1, 1945, to William Donald “Don” Clement and Naomi “June” (Crist) Clement. Vicki grew up in Fairfax, Oklahoma until her family moved to San Juan Puerto Rico in the 1950’s. She returned to the States and eventually graduated from Branson (Missouri) High School in 1963. She married Roy Lee Armstrong in August of 1963 and moved to Norman Oklahoma. She attended college at the University of Oklahoma studying interior design and business. They welcomed their first child, Amber Lynn Armstrong in Norman. Eventually, they moved to Blackwell Oklahoma and welcomed their second child, Alicia Ann (Armstrong) Jarman. Vicki and Roy were divorced in 1977, and she and her daughters moved to Enid Oklahoma. She met and married Jack Dean Henderson in May of 1980 in Enid and they moved to Sedalia Missouri only to then move to Yukon Oklahoma. Vicki continued to live in Yukon after she and Jack divorced in 1987, eventually moving to Oklahoma City and then to Edmond Oklahoma for the past 20+ years.
Vicki worked as a bookkeeper throughout her career including insurance companies, accounting firms, oil and gas businesses, and a pharmaceutical distributor. She worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a civilian for 22 years. She began working in the budget office eventually serving financial duties in multiple divisions. When the San Antonio Air Force Base closed, one of Vicki’s projects was involved in workload allocation and distribution. Vicki finished her career at Tinker serving as an Officer of Primary Responsibility (OPR) in control of a financial legacy system, before retiring in 2011.
Throughout her life, Vicki enjoyed many hobbies and activities. She was energized by sunlight and enjoyed golf, camping and fishing. She loved anything to do with water whether swimming and water skiing at the lake or lounging around the pool she owned for many years. Vicki had the gift of a “green thumb” from her mother and grew many plants with iris and violets being her favorite. She was also very crafty, from teaching herself how to maintain and repair anything around the house to sewing and decorating. She and her daughter, Alicia, designed and made beaded jewelry they sold at the Medieval Fair in Norman, where they also enjoyed dressing in the traditional “garb”. She loved antiques and spent many hours at auctions and estate sales. She enjoyed watching sports including football, auto racing, and basketball. Vicki’s blood ran crimson and cream for her love of OU football. Her grandson Jacob has many fond memories watching Nascar races on television with her. She also loved watching OKC Thunder games, attending many home games with her daughter, Amber. Vicki was an avid animal lover, with her dogs Bijan, Makiah and Elsa and her cats Grey Paws, Smokey, Toulouse, and Edgar being among her favorites. She also loved talking about the ducks she had as a child named Heuy, Dewey and Louie.
Vicki leaves behind her daughters Amber and Alicia, her grandson Jacob Glenn Jarman, her sister Cristi Clement, nephews Tim and Jeff, a niece Pam, and cousins Bob and Connie.
Vicki is reunited in heaven with her parents; maternal grandparents, Francis Crist and Madeline (McCalister) Dean; paternal grandparents, George “Cecil” and Elizabeth (Hutchison) Clement; several aunts, uncles and cousins including most recently Kent Clement.
