Virgie L. Smith

Virgie L. Smith, 100, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on November 1, 2018 in Edmond, OK. She was born on June 16, 1918 in Grant Parish, LA to Joseph and Alice Albright. Virgie was a lunchroom worker at Jonesboro/Hodge High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie L. Smith, eight siblings, grandaughter, Karla Smith Charles and grandson, Jim Smith. She is survived by her children, Jimmie A. Smith and wife Ruth of Gig Harbor, WA, David L. Smith and wife Barbara of Edmond, OK, grandchildren, Kathy Smith, Kim Smith, Stephen Smith, Joshua Smith, Erin Smith Bendas and numerous great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2018 at Edmonds Funeral Home, 228 Allen Ave., Jonesboro, LA with interment to follow at Jonesboro Cemetery. Viewing will be held prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
