Her growing up days were in Edmond, OK where she was an Edmond High School graduate in 1941. Almost immediately thereafter Virginia began attending Hill's Business University in Oklahoma City where she graduated in 1942.

Soon after her business school graduation, she began a 43 year career in procurement at Tinker Field as a civilian employee, which she enjoyed very much before retirement in 1985. One particular enjoyment was her ability to attend the Retired Tinker employee's gatherings at breakfast or other meals where she could reminisce with fellow retirees.

Virginia leaves behind her brother, Edward Armond Boydston of Edmond, OK. Nieces and Nephews Brenda Chatham, Rhonda Knight, Mona Ryan, Darranne Folino, Candace Paquette, Scott Boydston and Todd Boydston. Her younger brother; Arland Doyle Boydston preceded her in death. She also leaves behind a host of friends and other relatives she dearly loved.

Traveling was a great enjoyment to Virginia and she made many trips around the world plus throughout this country especially with her Putnam City Retired Citizens' Organization. Her favorite pastime was crocheting beautiful afghans and baby blankets to the delight of young mothers and other desirous individuals. She also enjoyed her yard work and often told others she still mowed her own lawn at the age of 86 years.

Virginia never married and was very independent in caring for herself. She loved life and her family and friends.
