Walter "Tre" Perry III passed away on February 14, 2025, at home in Oklahoma City.
Tre was born on March 11, 1963 in Topeka, KS. He spent his early years in Blue Springs, Missouri on Lake Tapawingo. When he was a teenager, he went to live with his mom and stepdad in Aviano, Italy. He had many adventures traveling through Europe on his motorcycle. In 1983 he married, and they had 2 daughters, Nicole in 1987 and Zabrina in 1992. In 1985 Tre won Chef of the Year while working as a sous chef at Oak Tree in Edmond. He went back to Italy where he opened Burger Kings on Air Force bases. Later, Tre became an executive chef which took him to Gallup, NM, and Colorado Springs. He then moved back to Oklahoma City where he worked for Olive Garden for 16 years. He also became a custom carpenter and was proud of his work at KC Millworks. In 2011, Tre met Angela (Angi) Park at New Hope Church of Christ. They were married on July 26, 2013. Tre became stepdad to Angi's 2 daughters, Julie, and Kaci. Between the 4 daughters they have 9 grandchildren to which he was known as "Pawpaw". He enjoyed fishing and hunting on Lake Eufaula. He also loved cooking for his New Hope church family. He will always be remembered for his wonderful cheeseburgers.
Tre was preceded in death by his mom, Sharon Pickett and his dad, Walter Perry II, and his father-in-law Joe Park.
Tre is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Angi; his brother, Scott Perry; his sister, Katherine Perry; his daughters, Nicole (Jeff) Anderson, Zabrina (Ian) Flores; his step daughters, Julie (Vance) LaRue, and Kaci Messerly; grandchildren, Christopher, Leah, and Luke Anderson, Rio, Brantley, and Bonnie Flores, Colin, Lucy, and Camden LaRue; his sister-in-law Teri (Bill) Stovall; niece Kali Stovall and nephew Will Stovall; mother-in-law Iris Park; and Cae (Andy) Gass who he called sister.
Services will be held at New Hope Church of Christ on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
