Wesley Michael Youngblood

Wesley Michael Youngblood, 73, of Edmond, Oklahoma, died Thursday April 25, 2024.
Mike was born in Oklahoma City on August 28, 1950, to Gilbert Wesley and Erma Fae Youngblood. He is survived by his mother (Erma), sister Sherri Youngblood Martin, brother-in-law Bill Martin and nephew Denton Martin. Mike attended Edmond High School (Edmond Memorial today) and graduated in 1969. Following graduation, he joined the Oklahoma National Guard prior to his career in the food distribution industry. Mike ended his working career as Vice President of Operations at Progressive Food Group after having won many awards and being recognized as a key industry leader.
Mike had a love for people and lived in many different states making countless friends along the way. Living in Florida, Colorado, Texas, and Tennessee before returning to Oklahoma to retire in 2010, Mike touched countless people with an infectious smile and true friendship.
Mike enjoyed many different activities but was highly involved in bicycling. Most weekends you could find Mike cycling with his friends at various locations throughout the country. When not out biking, Mike was cruising in his 1989 Mustang to the local coffee shop in order to converse with his many, many friends.
He will be missed by all the lives he has touched throughout his lifetime.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.
