Wilbur "Will" Lewis Goodnow Jr.
1933-2017
Wilbur (Will) Lewis Goodnow Jr., 83 passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Will was born December 27, 1933 to Wilbur Lewis and LaVota Rose Goodnow in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School and went on to receive his degree in journalism from The University of Tulsa.
Will is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Sue; his daughter Katie Starling and her husband Bradley; and his three grandchildren, Kristopher Hock, Ruth Starling, and Matthew Starling. Will served proudly as a 1 st Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and lived by the motto "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." He also enjoyed sports and was an avid golfer, but his greatest joy in life was being a husband, father and grandfather.
A graveside memorial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home.
