William Clark Dorsey, 92, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at his home in Edmond, OK. Bill was born on March 10, 1933, to Anna Jewel Dorsey in Tulsa, OK. Bill attended Tulsa Central High School and later OKC University. On July 1, 1953, Bill married Lawana Florence Waid in Tulsa. They had 2 children, Billy and Tracey. From 1953- 1955, Bill served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army as an MP with the 58th Military Police Co, stationed in South Korea. Upon returning home, he went to work for TG&Y stores as an assistant manager. In 1957, he was promoted to a buyer position and transferred to the TG&Y headquarters in OKC. After 25 years and many promotions, Bill resigned in 1980, as Divisional Vice President of Merchandising. Bill then chose to start his own international import company which was closed in November 2024 after 44 years in operation due to health reasons. Although Bill did not have any hobbies, his love and life were always his family, his job and his pup, Hooch. Bill was proceeded in death by his mother Anna Dorsey and five sisters, Lorraine, Dorthey, Beverly, Jane and Mary. Bill is survived by his wife, Lawana of 70 years and two children, Bill Dorsey and wife Paula, Tracey Parsons and husband Mike, and one granddaughter Halie Warden and husband Chris, all of Edmond. A Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
